LAND COMMISSION HEARINGS
PUBLIC NOTICE
Under Section 8 of the Land (Tenure Conversion) Act 1963
The Land Commission of Papua New Guinea will hold hearings for land Tenure Conversion Applications, including certain Section 15 applicants and national land matters for Milne Bay, NCD & Central Province.
Deferral Notice – National Capital District (NCD) & Central Province
Please be advised that the hearings for NCD and Central Province, which were initially scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 7th October 2025 at Muruk Haus, Government Printing Office, Waigani, have been deferred.
The hearings will now take place from Tuesday, 11th November to Friday, 21st November 2025,
at the same venue and time (9:30am).
This deferral is due to the passing of our Acting Deputy Chief Commissioner, the late Mrs. Ruth Gelu.
The Land Commission appreciates your understanding during this period of mourning.
Milne Bay Province
A hearing will be held on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at 9:30am at the Alotau District Court.
